Leading materials science experts gathered in 2024 for the “Digital Adsorption Data Space” A IUPAC Task Force Symposium, showcasing the Adsorption Information Format (AIF). The interactive session demonstrated how this STAR-based format streamlines the documentation and sharing of isotherm data across publications and databases.
Prof. Kaskel from TU Dresden led demonstrations of the AIF format’s practical applications, highlighting its compatibility with both experimental and simulation data from diverse porous materials, including metal-organic frameworks and activated carbons. The workshop featured hands-on examples of database curation and visualization with special attention to high-pressure data and RASPA simulation integration.
